United Nations Millennium Development Goals
Content: United nations have specified eight goals as the Millennium Development
Goals. One of the significant goals is - "Promote gender equality and empower women" which will eliminate gender disparity in primary and secondary education preferably by 2005, and at all levels by 2015. The DIRF has realized this vision of UN and committed to work, so that collective efforts of the world will help to achieve the goal. Gender inequality exist currently; it can be reduced and totally eliminated. This perception is perceived by DIRF as it has studied and addressed this issue. The studies of DIRF found the gap between the potential of women and the actual output. Once the gap is identified it could be possible to reduce it and long term efforts will bring equality.
